Standers

Standing upright affects the cardiovascular system, digestion and respiration. The skeleton is exposed to strain that is important to maintain the strength of the bones. The knees and hips, which are mainly bent when the child is in a wheelchair, are stretched out.

LECKEY standers tackle this by providing comfortable postural positioning and hence promoting independence. Outstanding postural support!

Most of us do not think about how often we travel and get stretched out during a day.

For many wheelchair users, this is particularly difficult. A stander will be invaluable in terms of standing up in different situations. Being able to interact in a standing position is important for socializing and communicating with peers. For children to participate in activities in a standing position is of great importance. In addition, we know that standing gives increased well-being and better sleep patterns. Standing strengthens blood circulation and blood pressure in addition to improved digestion, respiration and voice control.

We offer standers in different sizes and with different functions. Our easiest stand stand, the Freestander is available in 3 sizes. You will find a stander that fits up to the user height of 1,80 m.
