Sunrise Medical is proud to introduce QUICKIE® QS5 X®. With the lowest weight in its class and over 40% energy savings with every fold thanks to the highly innovative FreeFold design, it redefines the lightweight folding wheelchair.

Reimagined FreeFold - Over 40% Energy Saving with Every Fold

One of the most outstanding new features of the QS5 X is its effortless folding and unfolding, thanks to the innovative FreeFold mechanism. With more than 40% less force required than other folding wheelchairs in the market, the QS5 X sets the new standard for ease and efficiency of folding. Furthermore, during folding, the wheel camber does not change, and the folded chair stands solidly on the ground - a real benefit if you are frequently folding and transporting the QS5 X.

Unrivaled Lightweight and Superior Rigidity - Proprietary Technologies and Manufacturing Processes with High Attention to Details

At a remarkably low transport weight from 7,3 kg for the Fixed Front and 7,5 kg for the Swing Away frame, it is the lightest aluminium box frame wheelchair on the market, making it easiest to lift, handle, and transport.

But that’s not all! The combination of various proprietary manufacturing processes and technologies signature to Sunrise Medical’s high-quality products – such as specially heat treated 7000 series aluminum, ovalized tubes and forged parts, to name a few – all result in creating the unmatched strength, rigidity, and extra responsiveness for the QS5 X frames. This allows for a more efficient transfer of energy from the rider to the wheels, which enables longer rides with less fatigue and unparalleled riding experiences.

Smart Options and Configurability - QS5 X Comes with User-Feedback Driven Features for Next-Level Riding Experience

To top it off, the beautifully designed QS5 X comes with a full package of user-feedback driven smart options such as touch points on the caster link which enables most comfortable gripping; patented caster links that ensure a QS5 X always tracks straight; and stylish LED lights that are seamlessly integrated into the overall design.

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced wheelchair rider, the QS5 X offers ultimate adjustability with multiple frame angles, two frame versions (swing-away or fixed front), and a customized package of clinically critical components. And with its stylish and sophisticated design yet robust box frame construction that exceeds industry standards, the QS5 X can handle anything that comes its way.

Already successfully introduced with the QUICKIE Nitrum, customers have the option of configuring their QS5 X individually with the help of the new smart 3D Visualizer. As an exciting brand-new feature, the QS5 X 3D Visualizer also helps to estimate how much their QS5 X will weigh.

"Transportation is crucial for wheelchair riders," says Bernd Krebs, CTO at Sunrise Medical. "Being able to easily load and unload their wheelchairs means maintaining or regaining their independence, and we strive to protect their already strained shoulders. This is why we are constantly pushing the limits of technology to reduce any product weight wherever possible while keep increasing the rider’s energy efficiency. This allows the QS5 X to fold, unfold and roll smoothly with the least energy required from the riders. We have applied latest material science with the highly innovative FreeFold cross brace design to QS5 X, which makes it a game changer for anyone who values independence, performance, and ease of use."
