Quick to connect. Easy to use. Powerful to drive. Sunrise Medical® broadens the electric pull-device portfolio with the new Empulse StreetJet®

Malsch, Germany – August, 2022: Sunrise Medical is pleased to announce the launch of the new Empulse StreetJet, a power assist pull device, that is super easy to dock thanks to the patented One Touch clamps and provides wheelchair users loads of fun and unrivalled driving experience. For young or old, for urban or rural terrain, the StreetJet provides greater independence with unlimited mobility. It is a reliable, “zero emission” solution in place of using a car for longer rides and difficult terrain.

1-2-3 GO!

Finally, a powerful pull device WITHOUT the hassle of pre-installing docking systems.

Designed by a quadriplegic mastermind for his own personal use with unrivalled attention to all the practical details, the unique patented One Touch clamp system enables easy, fast, and nearly effortless docking to the wheelchair in seconds, which is particularly tailored for people with weak hand function as it just needs a little “push”. No need to lift the StreetJet due to the stand with wheels, clamping design and reverse gear. Another advantage are the clamps that do not require any additional parts on the user’s wheelchair and fit a broad range of frame shapes.

More power for extended rides

The user can get to places that previously seemed unreachable. Thanks to its high performing electrical system consisting of an efficient brushless motor and a high-capacity Lithium-ion battery, the StreetJet is powerful to drive everywhere. The reach is up to 50 km for a worry-free driving fun and makes it perfect for long rides and to effortlessly tack slopes and steep ramps.

Perfect fit for urban and off-roads

The StreetJet is available in two wheel sizes, 12” and 16” pneumatic tires. The 12” tire has a shorter base length and smaller turning circle, the best choice for urban environments and for transportation. The 16” tire has increased comfort and can tackle difficult terrain, the choice for exciting outdoor adventures.

An easy-to-read display gives the driver full control over speed, distance, battery status and power consumption. There is also a superbly practical and highly considerate function that StreetJet comes with - the driver can adjust and fine tone the speed acceleration (e.g., slower acceleration for people with less trunk stability). The StreetJet also includes a practical cruise control and an integrated LED light. Two independent braking systems ensure the best safety. A finely adjustable electric brake and a powerful disc brake complement each other.

For those who are fashion-minded and wish to personalise their StreetJet even more, they can conveniently select from 20 frame colours. In addition, the One Touch clamps are available in 5 anodised colours and even the cables are available in different colours, to truly show your style.

The StreetJet has also been recently further upgraded and improved and is fully compliant to the most stringent MDR requirements.

“The StreetJet is carefully designed for people like me with weak hand function. It’s been a labour of love with breakthrough design features such as a one touch mounting clamps, that allow me to mount it to my chair with complete independence. If I were allowed to summarise StreetJet into one word, it would have to be Freedom!”, says Felipe Garcia, who became quadriplegic due to an accident when he worked as a sea lifeguard and invented the StreetJet. “Perfect for long rides and to effortlessly tackle slopes and steep ramps. The range should allow up to 50 km of a worry-free driving fun.”
